A Cliffside Kind of Love

There’s something truly magical about the Pacific Northwest—where the mountains roll into misty skies and cliffside views glow soft and golden as the sun drops behind them. This engagement session was everything I love about photographing couples in the PNW: raw, wild landscapes paired with tender, quiet moments.

We met at a rugged overlook with sweeping views of the water and distant mountain ranges. The air was cool, the light was dreamy, and the scene felt almost cinematic. Perched on the edge of a cliff, these two cuddled close, soaking in the moment together. Her dress caught the breeze just enough to add movement, softness, and that timeless romantic feel.

One of my favorite parts of this shoot? They brought their sweet pup along for the adventure. He trotted alongside us on the trail, took breaks to sniff every wildflower, and proudly joined in for photos like he knew he was part of the big celebration. Dogs always bring this playful, heart-melting energy to engagement sessions, and he definitely did not disappoint.

The entire evening felt slow, intentional, and full of laughter. We wandered, explored, and embraced everything the landscape offered—from the warm earthy tones on the cliffs to the expansive water glowing beneath the sunset.
